Honor local origin `304 Not Modified` by refreshing the same cached body and preserving/incrementing `X-Cache-Hits`, matching the existing Reverse Proxy behavior.
+- Keep client-facing conditional/HEAD/range semantics distinct from origin validation; do not re-use a stale body if the file changed. Remove old stored copies on changed/uncacheable local responses, and prevent an uncacheable `304` from re-enabling shared storage via vhost response rules.
+- Preserve original representation headers when revalidating transformed assets, and guard validation across cache PURGE/config revision changes. Add focused regression tests using the local Web Server's actual static file handler.
