# RustProxy documentation
Practical guides for **RustProxy 0.35.0**. This index and the listed pages are also available in the authenticated panel at **`/docs → Reader`**. The adjacent **API** tab provides the embedded OpenAPI reference. Paths below are links to actual files in the source archive.
Guides for operating RustProxy: installation, publishing services, security, certificates, monitoring and automation. The same pages are available in the administration panel under **`/docs → Reader`**, next to the interactive **API** reference.

The Vhosts and Docker discovery guides include the shared adaptive request-rate chart scale introduced in 0.34.11. Version 0.34.12 preserves that adaptive range and adds a disabled-by-default X/Y scale display option under **Settings → Appearance → Charts**. Release 0.34.13 adds global HTTP security policies and UI layout improvements, groups the global User-Agent policy under `global_security`, provides consistent section-based GET/PUT APIs, and moves manual GeoIP refresh to `POST /api/config/geoip/update`. See [Dashboard](DASHBOARD.md). Release 0.34.14 keeps the Tinyauth Nginx-header compatibility patch and dedicated fail-closed 502/504 pages. Release 0.34.15 adds optional Authelia and authentik forward-auth integrations, a shared provider runtime and a single provider-neutral HTML error template. Release 0.34.16 adds optional OIDC central login across unrelated domains. Release 0.35.0 accepts encoded `/` (`%2F` / `%2f`) in proxied paths while keeping normalized routing/security decisions separate from the original Preserve-mode upstream request target. See [Access](ACCESS.md) and [Troubleshooting](TROUBLESHOOTING.md).

[Changelog](../CHANGELOG.md) tracks user/operator-visible technical changes; [Roadmap](../ROADMAP.md) separates current verification work from future ideas. Historical low-level investigations, audits and benchmarks are not part of the live Reader. Keep them separately if you need an audit trail.
## Operations
When changing functionality, update the appropriate guide, this index, the registered Reader documents and any OpenAPI/schema references together. Describe actual code behavior, not unimplemented plans.

- [Dashboard](DASHBOARD.md) — Overview cards, layouts, presets and configuration history.
- [Monitoring](MONITORING.md) — Prometheus exporter, JSON metrics, Grafana and Nagios.
- [Logs](LOGS.md) — live, stored and error logs.
- [Backup and recovery](BACKUP.md) — encrypted backups, restore and the Secret Store.
- [Migration](MIGRATION.md) — upgrades and Nginx Proxy Manager import.
- [Docker discovery](DOCKER_DISCOVERY.md) — Docker agent and generated Vhosts.
- [Administration API](API.md) — authentication, tokens, endpoints and configuration sections.
