# RustBox attribution / notice

|
RustBox 0.0.6 is derived from the Oxi webmail project:
|
|
|
|
- Upstream: `c0h1b4/oxi`
|
|
- Base snapshot: `7f1507c486b78cf33e54beb701dd460d3bd2bd5d`
|
|
- RustBox modifications: single-process Rust runtime, RustBox-owned embedded interface, native service packaging, configuration changes and ManageSieve integration.
|
|
|
|
RustBox does not ship the Oxi TypeScript frontend in this release. Existing Oxi Rust backend code remains the implementation base and should retain all attribution/license obligations applicable to the upstream project.
|
|
|
|
The user-supplied Oxi snapshot did **not** contain a `LICENSE` or `NOTICE` file. Upstream documentation identified Oxi as MIT-licensed, but this source release deliberately does not reconstruct an authoritative license text. Before public redistribution, verify the license at the exact upstream revision and include all required notices.
|
|
|
|
Some internal compatibility identifiers originating from Oxi remain (for example cookie/database naming). They are implementation details retained to reduce unnecessary migration and merge breakage.
